OUR SENSITIVE CLAIM TEAM NEEDS MORE GREAT THERAPISTS

Due to expansion of our client base and a growing waiting list for our services we require additional experienced therapists - counsellors, social workers, psychotherapists and psychologists (including clinical) to join our team of 18.

Specifically in  Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Invercargill and  all centres in Central Otago 

We are looking for providers with:

• A minimum of one day a week availability, maximum of three (ISSC work is demanding and we see this as a healthy capacity)
• With experience of supporting traumatised clients in a MH context or indeed directly with sexual abuse victims

Skills desirable in a successful candidate would be:

• Experience in a MH service delivery
• Evidence of provision to sexual abuse clients
• Experience in providing services to clients with traumatic backgrounds
• Specialist skills with children or adolescents or minority groups
• Ability / desire to be registered as a Supported Assessor who advises ACC on client diagnosis and mental injury status
• A current APC and relevant professional body membership
• A background that illustrates ongoing professional development  re trauma or sexual abuse

Advantage South has social workers, occupational therapists, physio's and dietitians with ISSC  and MH client skills who can work with you functionally on client goals as an interdisciplinary team  

Hours you work are up to you, subject to room access if needed. Many of our staff have young families or other part time roles, private client bases. We are work/life balance friendly - if you need flexibility around client contact  and do reporting later in the day we are okay with that  as long as the work gets done according to quality and timelines etc needed. School holidays etc can be accommodated.

• We use a simple web based time capture system that minimises your need for ‘pesky’ admin i.e. one monthly invoice can be raised from this
• We pay promptly 20th month following whether or not we have been paid by the referrer

• Access to appropriate rooms if / as required
• Access to clients of other types of programmes Advantage South delivers if appropriate
